Girl - Girl

This work was created in 2021, when I picked up a brush for the first time in twenty years – encouraged by my firstborn daughter. The girl in the golden dress symbolizes the meeting of the new and the old: the rekindling of a lost spark of creativity and the rediscovery of one’s own voice beneath the layers of adulthood.
The painting is an ode to the inner return that can happen at any age – when the spark is ignited, it leads to light.
